The 3rd annual 2007 Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Decathlon captivated public and media audiences locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. This preliminary analysis of the media outreach of the 2007 Solar Decathlon resulted in 649 million media impressions quantified by the FD Dittus Firm. With approximately 120,000 event attendees in 2007, the 2009 Solar Decathlon is expected to exceed outreach and impressions of the 2007 competition.
